Purpose

Warriors for African Wildlife (WFAW) is a non-profit holistic African wildlife conservation organization led by African experts on the ground and supported by the expertise of military veterans. We are recruiting U.S. military veterans to join our team who understand that effective conservation is about humble service, working as a team, and learning from others. This program is intended for veterans who respect African culture, appreciate indigenous intelligence, and are open to learning traditional and modern conservation practices. In return, our veterans fulfill a sense of purpose and accomplishment by serving others and protecting wildlife.

Core Values

We expect our veterans to uphold the following core values at all times:

  • Gratitude . . . for the opportunity to serve
  • Respect . . . for African cultures, leadership, expertise, and for each other
  • Adaptability . . . as teamwork
  • Commitment . . . to our mission
  • Ethics . . . in wildlife conservation and behavior
  • Humility . . . and willingness to learn
  • Integrity . . . in all actions
  • Mental preparedness . . . and physical readiness
